Privacy Policy

Summary

The Blinders extension sends nothing anywhere. It has no accounts, no logins, no analytics and no telemetry, and it makes no network requests of any kind — everything it stores stays in your own browser profile.

The website is separate. It serves static pages, and the one place it accepts personal data is the support form, which you choose to fill in. That is covered below.

What the extension stores on your device

Your settings, held in your browser’s extension storage:

  • Per-platform blocking toggles and whole-site mode
  • Your schedule windows
  • Your blocked keywords
  • Your blocked creators and videos
  • Your bypass pass settings and your custom block message

If your browser has extension sync enabled, your browser vendor — not Blinders — may sync these settings between your devices under its own privacy policy.

Two things never leave the device they were created on, even with sync enabled:

  • Bypass pass grants and your daily pass counter
  • Block counts per platform per day, which are deleted automatically after 30 days

What the extension reads, and what it does with it

To decide whether to block, Blinders looks at the address of the page you are on and, on supported sites, at the visible text around a video — its title, caption and creator name — so it can match your keywords and your blocked creators. This happens inside your browser, as the page renders. Nothing that is read is stored, logged or transmitted, and it is used for no purpose other than the block decision in front of it.

Blinders never reads your messages, your account, your history, your passwords or anything you type.

Permissions

The extension requests access to the supported sites (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Snapchat) so it can inspect URLs and hide page elements there, plus permission to store your settings and to run scheduled checks. It requests nothing else, and it bundles all of its own code — no remote scripts are ever fetched or run.

The website

blinders.cornerz.io serves static pages. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies. As with any website, our host processes ordinary request data such as your IP address in order to serve pages to you.

The support form

If you write to us through /support, the name, email address, topic and message you enter are sent to our support mailbox by email. We use them for one thing: replying to you.

  • There is no database — your message exists as an email and nothing else
  • Your IP address is checked against a short-lived, in-memory counter to limit how many messages one sender can submit in fifteen minutes. It is not written to disk and is not kept
  • Your address is never added to a mailing list and is never shared or sold
  • Support email is kept while it is useful for handling your request and any follow-up, and deleted after two years at the latest

Email reaches us through our mail provider, which processes it on our behalf in order to deliver it.

Donations

Donations are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe’s own hosted page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe processes your payment data as a controller under its own privacy policy; we receive only what we need to recognise a donation and handle a refund request if you make one.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored, including your settings, your pass counters and your block counts. You can also clear them at any time from the extension’s options page. Because none of it ever reached us, there is nothing on our side to delete.

To have a support email deleted, write to privacy@cornerz.io from the address you used and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to how it is used, and to complain to your data protection authority. In practice the only personal data we ever hold is what you send us through the support form or a donation. Email privacy@cornerz.io and we will answer within 30 days. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or automated decision-making.

Children

Blinders is not directed at children under 13. The extension collects nothing from anyone, and we do not knowingly accept support messages from children under 13 — if you believe a child has sent us one, email privacy@cornerz.io and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If what we do with data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be noted on the site before they take effect.
